Alex Dewar - Invictus Hero

We were very proud to be the first school to invite Alex Dewar in to learn about his life story and reflect on the values of perseverance, resilience and good health. A former army warrant officer, Alex's life changed when he suffered a brain haemorrhage several years ago. He was only given a 2% chance of survival but not only did he survive, he also went on to win medals at the Invictus Games. Even then, nothing went smoothly.
Alex is the most modest of heroes and the children in Year 5 learned so much from him.
