Start a Heart Day
For national 'Start a Heart Day' we had a visit from a group of nurses to help teach children in Y3, 4 and 5 how to carry out CPR. They also did an assembly which children in Y1 and 2 were involved in. The children learned how to do chest compressions and give mouth to mouth, whilst also being taught how to help save somebody who might be choking by giving them back slaps. A film crew from the BBC showed up to record the event for a report on Look North! All the children enjoyed the day and have learned a valuable lesson about saving lives.
